Feather Flag and Teardrop Flag Printing in London

Feather flags have a vertical leading edge and curved trailing edge, ideal for wind to catch and lift, very visible from a distance. Teardrop flags have a wider rounded body and tapered point, more compact, prints crisply, better for static displays.

Flags take 3 to 5 working days due to fabric printing and dye-sub setup. Urgent jobs possible in 48 hours for an extra rush fee. Replacement flags on existing poles 2 to 3 days. Repeat orders on stored artwork usually faster.

Standard heights: 2.5m, 3m (most common), 4m, 5m, 6m. Taller flags need a larger heavier base. 3m is the popular roadside size — visible without being unwieldy. 5m+ best for forecourts, dealerships, events.

Ground spike (steel point) pushes into grass or soft soil, free and lightweight, ideal for events and gardens. Cross base (X-shaped foot) sits on hard surfaces like concrete and tarmac. Water base (fillable plastic) is for windy conditions, fill with water for ballast.

Yes. Polyester flag fabric is fully waterproof and UV-resistant. The fibreglass poles are flexible and survive UK weather. We recommend bringing flags inside in storms (50+ mph wind) and at night to extend life.

PDF at 100% size with 25mm bleed each side, CMYK colour mode (note: CMYK on polyester fabric prints slightly more muted than on paper, design with this in mind), 100dpi for images at print size, fonts outlined. We provide a free template per flag type.

Default print is single sided. Because the flag fabric is thin, the print "bleeds through" so it is readable from both sides (mirror image on back). For true two-sided print with two different designs, we use a double layer flag with a blockout liner — add 40 to 60 percent.
