Vinyl beats DTG and DTF on solid colour and sports work
Not every print needs DTG. For team kits, squad numbers, solid logos and single-colour text, vinyl is faster, cheaper and lasts longer.
Vinyl is best when
- Design is 1 to 3 solid colours
- You need names and numbers on kits
- Garment is polyester or a blend
- You want a raised, textured finish
- Small quantities with fast turnaround
DTG or DTF is better when
- Design has many colours or gradients
- You need photographic detail
- Soft, flat finish is required
- Large print area with complex artwork
- Matching Pantone or brand colours exactly
Vinyl durability
- 50 to 70 wash lifespan
- Wash inside out at 40°C
- No tumble drying
- Do not iron directly on print
- Outlasts DTG on polyester garments

All vinyl is cut to exact shape from rolls and heat-pressed at 150°C to 160°C. The finish you choose changes the look and feel entirely.
- Matt: Soft, flat professional finish. The most popular for corporate workwear and team kits.
- Gloss: Shiny, vivid colour finish. Great for sports and high-visibility branding.
- Metallic (gold or silver): Reflective chrome finish. Used for awards, premium team kits and special editions.
- Glitter: Sparkle particles embedded in the vinyl. Popular for dance, cheer, gymnastics and kids clothing.
