What to Print for a Pop-Up Shop or Market Stall: The Full Checklist

Running a pop-up shop or market stall involves more print decisions than most people expect. Brand presence, product communication and customer experience all depend on the physical printed environment. This checklist breaks the print order into priority tiers so nothing is missed and the most important items arrive first.

Tier 1 (Order First, Longest Lead Time)

These items need the most production time and are the highest priority because a pop-up without them has no visible brand presence.

Roller banners: One or two branded pull-up banners establish visual identity at the back of the stall. Order at least two weeks out for custom banners, or one week with print-ready artwork. Standard 850 x 2000 mm, from £45.

PVC banners: If the stall has a front fascia or overhead fixing point, a PVC banner across the top communicates the brand to passing footfall. Lead time 3 to 5 working days. From £30 for a 1500 x 600 mm banner.

Staff T-shirts or branded clothing: If the brand colour or logo is simple, DTF or screen printing on pre-ordered blanks can be done in 5 to 7 working days. Order blanks first, then bring them in.

Tier 2 (Order in Parallel, 3 to 5 Days)

Item Purpose Lead Time Approximate Cost
Price cards (A5 or A6 laminated) Product pricing display 2 to 3 days From £15 for 50
Flyers (A5 or A6) Takeaway marketing 2 to 3 days From £35 for 500
Business cards Contact details 2 to 3 days From £25 for 250
Stickers Brand stickers for packaging 3 to 4 days From £30 for 100 die-cut
Thank you cards (A6) In packaging inserts 2 to 3 days From £20 for 100

Tier 3 (Nice to Have, Lower Priority)

Branded bags: Paper carrier bags or tote bags with a logo. Lead times are longer for custom bags. If stock time is tight, plain paper bags with a branded sticker applied is a practical workaround.

Postcards: A branded postcard with social media handles, website and a QR code serves as a higher-perceived-value flyer.

Table runners or tablecloths: Printed table covers pull the display together visually. Lead time 5 to 7 working days.

Lead Times Summary Table

Item Print-Ready Artwork Longer Lead
Flyers, business cards 2 to 3 days 4 to 5 days
Roller banners 3 to 5 days 7 to 10 days
PVC banners 3 to 5 days 7 days
Garment printing 5 to 7 days 10 to 14 days
Branded bags 7 to 10 days 14+ days

What Can Wait

If the stall launch is imminent, branded bags, table runners and postcards can be ordered after the first event. Customers leaving with a product in hand do not notice the absence of a branded bag if the stall itself looks professional. Focus budget and lead time on banners, price cards and business cards first.
