Get directionsHow to apply a DTF transfer
No experience needed. A heat press or firm iron is all you need to get professional results.
Pre-heat your garment
Press the blank garment for 3 to 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. This helps the transfer bond evenly.
Position the transfer
Place the transfer film-side down on the garment. The printed side faces the fabric. Secure with heat tape if needed.
Press at 160°C for 12 seconds
Apply medium-firm pressure. Heat press recommended. Iron at highest setting with firm pressure if no press available.
Peel and finish
Peel the film while warm (hot peel) or let cool first (cold peel — we label each transfer). Re-press 5 seconds under parchment for a matte finish.
How to Prepare Artwork for DTF Transfers
Following these guidelines ensures a clean print with sharp edges and accurate colour. Not sure? Send us your file and we will check it free.

- Best Transparent PNG at 300 DPI
- OK JPEG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG also accepted
- OK Vector files (AI, SVG) at any resolution
- Avoid Low-resolution screenshots or phone photos
Colour and resolution
- Best CMYK colour mode, 300 DPI minimum
- OK RGB files accepted (we convert before print)
- OK Send artwork at final print size
- Avoid Upscaled low-res artwork or heavy JPEG compression
Design details
- Best Minimum line thickness 1 mm
- Best Convert text to outlines (AI/PDF/SVG)
- OK Leave 3 mm spacing between designs on gang sheets
- Avoid Tiny isolated dots below 1 mm
How to Store DTF Transfers
- Keep flat or gently rolled, print side out
- Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight
- Avoid moisture and humidity
- Press within 6 months for best adhesion
- Store away from dust before pressing
Washing Instructions After Pressing
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash
- Wash inside out at 30 degrees C or cold
- Do not bleach or dry clean
- Do not iron directly on the print
- Tumble dry low or air dry flat
- 50 plus washes with correct care
